NU Masters Private Registration 2026: Dates, Fees & Eligibility

The National University of Bangladesh has published the official notice for NU Masters Private Registration 2026. This is for the 2024 session. Online applications start on 1 July 2026 at 4:00 PM. The final deadline is 19 July 2026 at 12:00 AM.

What Is NU Masters Private Program?

The Masters Private program is a one-year Masters degree course. It is offered by selected colleges under National University. Students who have finished their Honours degree can apply. The course runs for three academic years without break.

This program is great for working people. It is also good for students who could not join the regular Masters program. You will study the same syllabus as the 2023-2024 Masters Regular program.

Who Can Apply? Eligibility Rules

Check your eligibility before you apply. There are two main paths.

Path 1: Honours Graduates

You can apply if you finished a 4-year Honours degree from National University between 2013 and 2023. You need at least 45% marks in the old system. In the grading system, you need CGPA 2.25 or more.

Important: Students with a 4-year Pass degree cannot apply.

Path 2: Preli to Masters Students

You can also apply if you passed the Preliminary to Masters or Masters Part 1 exam between 2013 and 2023. You need 45% marks or GPA 2.25. You must also have a 3-year Pass degree with the same marks.

Special Cases

Prisoners can apply with proper permission and good conduct certificate. Defence service members can apply with approval from their authority.

Subjects Approved for NU Masters Private Admission 2026

You can choose from these subjects only:

Bangla, English, History, Islamic History and Culture, Philosophy, Arabic, Islamic Studies, Sanskrit, Pali, Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Accounting, Management, Marketing, and Finance & Banking.

The subject must be available at your chosen college. Each subject allows a maximum of 1,000 applicants per college.

Fees for NU Masters Private Registration 2026

Here is the full fee breakdown:

  • Application fee: 1,000 Taka
  • Registration fee: 1,500 Taka
  • Sports and culture fee: 100 Taka
  • BNCC fee: 10 Taka
  • Rover Scout fee: 10 Taka
  • Total registration fee: 1,620 Taka
  • Grand total to pay college: 2,620 Taka

You can pay through mobile banking set by your college. You can also pay directly at the college office.

How to Apply Online: Step-by-Step Process

Follow these steps carefully.

Step 1: Visit the official website at www.nu.ac.bd/admissions.

Step 2: Click on the Masters Tab. Then click Apply Now (Masters Private).

Step 3: Enter your Honours or Masters Part 1 roll number, registration number, and pass year. Also enter your personal mobile number and email.

Step 4: Select your gender correctly. Male students cannot apply to women’s colleges.

Step 5: Choose your division, district, and college. The system will show available subjects and seats.

Step 6: Upload your passport-size photo. The photo size must be 120×150 pixels. The file type must be JPG. Maximum size is 50KB.

Step 7: Upload the signed undertaking form. This is a promise that you are not enrolled in any other program.

Step 8: Click Submit Application. Note down your roll number and PIN code. Print the form on A4 white paper.

How to Fix Mistakes in Your Form

Made a mistake? Don’t worry. You can fix it only one time.

Go to Applicant Login under the Masters Tab. Enter your roll number and PIN. Click Form Cancel/Photo Change. You will get an OTP on your mobile. Use this OTP to cancel and fill the form again.

Once your college confirms the form, you cannot change it.

What to Submit at the College

Take these papers to your selected college:

  1. Printed application form (signed with date)
  2. Attested mark sheet of Honours or Masters Part 1
  3. Attested copy of registration card
  4. Signed undertaking form
  5. Application fee of 1,000 Taka
  6. Registration fee of 1,620 Taka

The college teacher will sign and stamp the second part of the form. They will return it to you.
