National University (NU) Bangladesh has announced the schedule for the 2nd Merit List. If you were not selected in the 1st Merit List — or if you want to change your subject — this update is very important for you.

How to Check the Result

You can check your result in two simple ways.

By SMS: Type nu athn [your roll number] and send it to 16222. You will get your result from 4:00 PM on 21 May 2026.

By Website: Go to www.nu.ac.bd/admissions. Click on the Honour’s Tab. Then go to the Admission Test Result option. The result will be available on the website from 9:00 PM on the same day.

Full Schedule for NU 2nd Merit List Admission Process

After the result is published, you must follow this schedule carefully.

Step 1 — Download Subject Change Form (03 June – 11 June 2026) This step is for students who were selected in the 1st Merit List but want to change their subject. Download the subject change form online and keep a print or PDF copy.

Step 2 — Fill Online Admission Form (03 June – 11 June 2026) This step is for students who are newly placed in the 2nd Merit List. Visit www.nu.ac.bd/admissions and go to Applicant Login. Click on Honours Login. Enter your Application ID and PIN correctly. Fill in the final admission form and take a print copy.

Step 3 — Pay Registration Fee (04 June – 13 June 2026) Pay the registration fee of Taka 1,130 to your college. You can pay through mobile banking or directly at the college, as directed by college authority.

Step 4 — College Confirms Your Admission (04 June – 14 June 2026) Your college will check your form, documents, and photo. If everything is correct, the college will confirm your final admission. If any information is wrong, the college will report it to the university.

Step 5 — College Submits Fee to Sonali Bank (15 June – 21 June 2026) The college will submit the collected registration fees to the nearest Sonali Bank branch during this period.

How Much Is the Registration Fee?

The total registration fee is Taka 1,130 (One thousand one hundred and thirty taka). You must pay this to your college within the given time. No fee is needed for subject changes only.

Can You Change Your Subject?

Yes, you can. If you were selected in the 1st Merit List but want a different subject, you can apply for a change. In your final admission form, select “Yes” in the subject change option. Your new subject will be assigned based on your merit and available seats. Please note that your old subject admission will be cancelled once the change is confirmed.

Important Warning for Double-Enrolled Students

This is very important. If you are already enrolled in another institution for the 2024–2025 session, you must cancel that admission by 09 June 2026. If you do not cancel it on time, your NU Honours admission and registration for 2025–2026 will be cancelled automatically. Dual enrollment is not allowed.
