NU Subject Change Result 2026 for Honours Admission

The wait is almost over. National University (NU) Bangladesh is publishing the NU Subject Change Result 2026 along with the 2nd Merit List on 21 May 2026. If you got admitted in the 1st Merit List and want to change your subject, this is your chance. Read this article carefully. It covers everything you need to know.

What Is the NU Subject Change Result 2026?

The NU Subject Change Result 2026 is for students who were admitted under the 1st Merit List. Some of them may get a new subject based on their preference. This process is also called NU Migration Result 2026.

National University reviews your subject preference order. Then it assigns you a new subject if a seat is available. This is done based on merit.

If your subject changes, your old admission is automatically cancelled. Your new subject admission becomes active.

When Will the NU Subject Change Result 2026 Be Published?

The result will be published on 21 May 2026 at 4:00 PM.

You can check your result in two ways:

  • By SMS: Type nu<space>athn<space>roll number and send it to 16222. You will get the result from 4:00 PM on 21 May 2026.
  • By Website: Go to the NU admissions website. Click on the Honour’s Tab. Then click on Admission Test Result. Results will be available from 9:00 PM on the same day.

What Happens After the NU Migration Result 2026?

After the result is published, there are a few important steps. Follow them carefully to confirm your admission.

Step 1: Download the Admission Form

Date: 3 June 2026 to 11 June 2026

If your subject has changed, you must download the new admission form. Go to the NU admissions website. Log in and download the form. Print or save a PDF copy.

Important: Your college does not need to confirm the subject change online. You also do not need to pay any extra fee for subject change.

Step 2: Fill Out the Final Admission Form Online

Date: 3 June 2026 to 11 June 2026

All students placed in the 2nd Merit List must fill out the final admission form online. Go to www.nu.ac.bd/admissions. Click on Applicant Login. Then click on Honours Login. Enter your correct Application ID and PIN. Fill in the form and save a printed copy.

Step 3: Pay the Registration Fee

Date: 4 June 2026 to 13 June 2026

You must pay a registration fee of Tk. 1,130 (One Thousand One Hundred and Thirty Taka). Pay this at your college using mobile banking or directly. Your college will tell you the payment method.

Step 4: College Confirms Your Admission

Date: 4 June 2026 to 14 June 2026

Your college will verify your documents and photos. They will check your certificates and mark sheets. If everything is correct, your admission will be confirmed.

If there is any mismatch or problem, the college will inform the Dean’s office in writing. They will not confirm your admission until the issue is fixed.

Step 5: College Submits Registration Fee to Sonali Bank

Date: 15 June 2026 to 21 June 2026

Your college will submit the registration fee of Tk. 1,130 to any nearby Sonali Bank branch. They will download a Pay Slip from the NU portal and deposit the amount. The savings account number is 0218100000134.

Important Rules You Must Follow

Please keep these rules in mind:

  • If you were already admitted in another institution for the 2024–2025 session, you must cancel that admission by 9 June 2026. If you do not, your NU admission will be cancelled.
  • If you want to change your subject in the 2nd Merit List, select “Yes” in the subject change option during final form fill-up.
  • Dual admission is not allowed. NU will cancel your registration if you hold two admissions at the same time.

How to Check If Your Subject Changed

After the result is out on 21 May 2026:

  1. Send an SMS to 16222 using the format: nu athn [your roll number]
  2. Or visit www.nu.ac.bd/admissions and check under the Honour’s Tab.

Keep your Application ID and PIN ready before you visit the website.
